Piles

Piles, also known as hemorrhoids, are swollen veins in the lower rectum or anus. They can be internal (inside the rectum) or external (under the skin around the anus).

There are three types of piles:

  • Internal hemorrhoids: These occur inside the rectum and are usually not painful but may cause bleeding.
  • External hemorrhoids: These occur under the skin around the anus and can be painful, especially if a blood clot forms.
  • Protruding hemorrhoids (Prolapsed hemorrhoids): These are internal hemorrhoids that bulge out of the anus.

Piles are often caused by:

  • Increased pressure on the veins in the rectum or anus
  • Constipation
  • Straining during bowel movements
  • Sitting for long periods
  • Pregnancy

Symptoms include:

  • Bright red blood in the stool or on toilet paper
  • Discomfort or pain during bowel movements
  • Itching or irritation in the anal area
  • Protrusion from the anus (in the case of prolapsed hemorrhoids)

If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, consult a Dr.Suresh mondal(8287452328) for proper diagnosis and treatment with permanent Result.
